I’m boring, and I have to wait for a few weeks to pass before I have anything interesting to write about.

I’m going to England! May 23- June 1o to see my brother, sister, and nephews! Very excited! I haven’t seen them in aaaaaaages! We’re gonna go shopping, and camping, and other fun things. I hope my passport comes in soon! Also, I am working up the courage to talk to my family about Jesus. They are atheists, except my brother Simon.. who is more agnostic. Anyway, please pray for God to help me approach the situation in the right way, and be bold.

I have four weeks of school left, I quit Takobe, and was hired at Sagebrush until I go to England. I’m working on getting a job at Camp Harrison, a YMCA camp, as a youth counselor. It’s totally awesome, so you should definitely come and camp so I can counsel you.:) Anyway, I’m gonna miss staff training because I’ll be in England, but the lady said we could work something out. It looks promising, but not for sure yet.

As you can see, Lloyd hooked me up with a sweet new layout. Not only did he make my blog beautimous, but he came for a visit last weekend. It was muy divertido. I picked him up at the airport at midnight, despite a few minor complications.. liiike my car’s left headlight being out, having a minor panic attack, and I ended up driving my Dad’s car to Charlotte. Everything worked out though. Anyway, we had a fun-filled weekend of Home Movies, King of the Hill, guitar playing/high pitched singing, Leslie and Sara, and yes, another trip to Charlotte, Lloyd and are said our goodbyes. Lloyd flew back to Florida, where he is currently sitting quietly, with his Macbook glowing in the dark. Oh, and I made him an awesome chocolate cake. uh.

Other than school, and work, I’ve been hanging out with my girls Ashley and Caitlin. Usually, not at the same time though. Some family friends went on vaca last week and they asked me to house sit. Basically, all I had to do was feed their cat, dog, and three horses. It was sweet. I went riding with Beka and her 2 little sister, who are ridiculously sweet and cute. Beka’s horse Shadow, who is a bully, reared up and she fell off, but fortunately she was fine, and bravely, she got back on. We had some sleep overs, ate faaar too much, and watched Mean Girls. :)

Okay, I’m gonna go to bed because I have 8 o’clock class.:(

Nighty night.

Namaste.

My bud Lloyd, who encourages me to eat as many chocolate chip cookies as I can, and has a spectaculously evil laugh, convinced me to start a blog. He set it up for me, so thank you Lloyd for providing me with yet another excuse for not studying for chemistry. :)

My name is Beulah. I’m 18. I graduated high school early in December. For now I’m attending community college, but I’m heading off to Lipscomb in the fall with my girl Caitlen! Woo!

I’m a Christian. God willing, I’m going to India this summer for a month. I would very much appreciate your prayers.

I recently lost a good friend of mine, Mary Elizabeth Roxanne Norton. I miss and love her with all my heart. I am looking forward to the day we will be reunited.

I like loud music. My favorite bands are Sherwood, Limbeck, This Providence, Nickel Creek, and The Pale Pacific.

I work at a Japanese steakhouse called Takobe with my two best friends. It’s tiring and sometimes sressful, but I love it. I’m getting good at balancing lots of drinks on trays, and not spilling the soup while carrying it to the tables.

Mmm. I don’t have much else to say right now other than I have a lot of homework that I’ve been putting off all day.

To close, here’s a poem that I really love..

“Christians” by Maya Angelou

When I say..”I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting “I’m clean livin’.”
I’m whispering “I was lost,
Now I’m forgiven.”

When I say.. “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say.. “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say.. “I am a Christian”
I’m not saying that I’m perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I’m worth it.

When I say.. “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say.. “I am a Christian”
I’m not holier that thou,
I’m just a simple sinner
Who recieved God’s grace somehow!
